How to install HomeHQ

🪟 Install on Windows

⬇ Download for Windows
  1. Download the installer. Click the button above. The file is called HomeHQ-Setup-x.x.x.exe (about 95 MB) — wait for the download to finish.
  2. If your browser shows a warning such as "This file isn't commonly downloaded" or "This file may be dangerous", click ⋯ and choose Keep. The warning appears only because the app is new — the file comes straight from homehqth.com.
  3. Open the downloaded file. Press Ctrl + J to see your downloads, then click the HomeHQ-Setup file.
  4. If a blue "Windows protected your PC" window appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
  5. Install. Click Next → Install → Finish (no administrator rights needed). The app opens on its own and adds a desktop shortcut.
  6. Sign in. Click "Continue with Google" or use the email and password you signed up with · New employees click "Join organization" and enter the 8-character invite code from their manager.
  7. Turn on your mic the first time. If Windows asks for permission, click Allow. The app updates itself automatically — no need to download it again.

🍎 Use HomeHQ on a Mac

The Mac app is coming soon — in the meantime, every feature works in your browser (the 3D office, walk-up conversations, meetings, screen sharing, attendance and leave) with nothing to install.

  1. Open homehqth.com/app in Google Chrome (recommended) or Safari.
  2. Sign in with Google or the same email you signed up with.
  3. Allow the microphone and camera by clicking Allow when your browser asks.
  4. Screen sharing: the first time, your Mac asks for permission for your browser. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, turn on Chrome (or Safari), then quit and reopen the browser.
  5. Open it like an app. Chrome: ⋮ menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app · Safari: File menu → Add to Dock

📱 Mobile: clock in and request leave (no install)

For branch and on-site staff, and anyone who wants to clock in from their phone.

  1. Open homehqth.com/m on your phone (or scan the QR code your manager sent — the invite code is filled in for you).
  2. Sign in with Google or email, then enter the invite code to join your company.
  3. Add it to your home screen. iPhone (Safari): Share button → Add to Home Screen · Android (Chrome): ⋮ → Add to Home screen

🛠 Troubleshooting

I downloaded the file but can't find it

Press Ctrl + J (Mac: ⌘ + Option + L) to open your downloads, or look in the Downloads folder — the installer's name starts with HomeHQ-Setup.

My antivirus blocks the file

The installer comes straight from homehqth.com. If your antivirus blocks it, choose "Allow" or add an exception, then run the installer again.

My mic doesn't work / others can't hear me

Windows: Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone → turn on "Let desktop apps access your microphone" · In the app, pick your mic under Settings → Audio · Walk up close to your teammates to join the same conversation circle — people outside the circle can't hear each other.

Screen sharing doesn't work on my Mac

Grant permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording for HomeHQ (or the browser you use), then quit and reopen it.

I can't sign in / forgot my password

Try "Continue with Google" with the same email you signed up with (works with Gmail and company email on Google Workspace). If that doesn't help, contact our team below.
